Originally trained in family medicine, preventive medicine, occupational medicine, he transitioned into drug safety and later into supplement safety. He co-founded with Dr. Hector Lopez Supplement Safety Solutions, which provides adverse event monitoring, reporting and consultative services for a number of dietary supplement companies. He did his undergraduate degree at Fairfield University and attended Rutgers Medical School. He completed a Family Medicine Residency in Middletown, CT, and received his Master of Public Health from Boston University.
